This image is of the desert Nitrogen Cycle. A basic example of the nitrogen cycle in a desert biome begins with the uptake of nitrates by desert plants. The plants that contain the nitrate are then consumed by insects and and reptiles.

This image is of the desert water cycle.Rainfall in a desert is very scarce therefore there is not much of a water cycle. When it does rain, the plants suck up whatever they can and store it in throughout itself.

The Desert Food web is quite interesting. Larger Predators such as the Owl, hollow out Cacti and build their nests inside. Leaving Plant Eaters such as lizards and Kangaroo Rats volnurable.
